Farmhouse Exterior Painting — Bethlehem, PA

A real project by Joseph Assise III Painting — Bethlehem, PA. See how we transformed this home from start to finish.

Before: dated tan lap siding, white trim with no contrast. After: modern white board-and-batten with black windows and door. Bethlehem, PA.

The Challenge

This Bethlehem farmhouse came to us looking tired — original tan lap siding from the 1990s, white trim with zero contrast, and a beige front door that disappeared into the facade. The homeowners wanted the modern farmhouse look they'd been seeing on design sites.

Our Process

We stripped the old paint, primed all surfaces, and converted from lap siding paint to a board-and-batten inspired color scheme: Benjamin Moore White Dove on the siding, Simply White on the trim (slight warmth difference for depth), and Onyx Black (HC-190) on all window frames, shutters, and the front door. New caulking throughout sealed every joint.

The Result

The transformation was dramatic. White body, black windows, and a clean black door created a completely different facade from the same underlying structure. Total project: $6,800 including extensive prep, primer, and two topcoats throughout.
