Why Winter Interior Painting Makes Sense
We're fully booked for exterior work from May through October. Winter months - November through March - are our prime interior painting season, and scheduling availability is at its best. If you've been thinking about refreshing your home's interior, winter is the smart time to book.
Low-VOC Paint for Winter Interior Projects
In winter, homes are closed up and ventilation is limited. We use low-VOC or zero-VOC paint formulas for all winter interior projects - Benjamin Moore Natura and Sherwin-Williams Harmony both dry quickly with minimal odor, making them ideal for occupied homes in cold months when opening windows isn't practical.
Humidity in Winter
Winter air is very dry in heated homes. Low humidity is actually good for paint drying - paint sets faster and more evenly. The main concern is heating systems that create drafts. We adjust our process and drying times accordingly.
What to Paint in Winter
Any interior surface: living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, home offices. Cabinet painting is also a great winter project - we do this year-round. Specialty finishes like limewash and Venetian plaster are excellent winter projects because controlled indoor temperatures give ideal application conditions.
Pre-Holiday Refresh
Our most popular winter project: the pre-holiday home refresh. Book in September for October/November completion and your home looks its best for Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings.
