How the Color Consultation Works - Step by Step
Step 1 - Schedule Your Consultation. When you book your project estimate, the color consultation is automatically included. Just let us know which rooms or surfaces you need help with and we'll set aside enough time to cover them thoroughly.
Step 2 - In-Home Assessment. Joseph or a senior crew member visits your home before any work begins. We walk through each space, take note of your lighting, your existing decor palette, any architectural features worth highlighting, and any colors you already love or want to move away from.
Step 3 - Color Matching Your Existing Finishes. Using the spectrophotometer, we read the undertones in your floors, cabinets, countertops, and furniture. This data drives the color recommendations so everything works together harmoniously.
Step 4 - Curated Color Samples. Based on the assessment, we narrow down a shortlist of 3-5 colors per room and apply large test patches so you can live with the options for a day or two before committing.
Step 5 - Final Color Sign-Off. You review the patches in your own home, in your own light, and make the final call. We document every selection and purchase the exact products before the project starts.

Do I need to have colors picked out before the consultation?
Not at all. Many clients come in with no idea where to start, and that's perfectly fine. Others come with a general direction - "I want something warm and earthy" or "I love blues but I'm nervous about going too dark" - and we work from there. Either way, we guide the whole process.
What paint brands do you work with?
We primarily work with Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, both of which are considered the gold standard for professional painting. If you have a preference for a specific brand or product line, just let us know. We can also source Farrow and Ball or other premium lines on request.
