Why Fall Is Excellent for Exterior Painting
September and October offer near-ideal painting conditions in Eastern PA and Western NJ. Temperatures drop back below 85, humidity falls from summer peaks, and we have predictable windows of dry weather. Paint applied in fall has all winter to cure and harden before it faces the next summer's UV exposure.
The Fall Painting Window
We typically paint exteriors through October 15-31 depending on the year. November is case-by-case - some years we get mild stretches that work, most years we don't. We will never paint in conditions that compromise your finished result.
Why Paint Before Winter
If you have any peeling, cracking, or bare wood on your exterior, winter will make it dramatically worse. Freeze-thaw cycles get into unprotected wood and siding at any gap in the paint film. A fall paint job seals your home before the most damaging weather of the year.
Fall Savings
We occasionally have scheduling flexibility in early October. Call us to ask about any available appointments that may come with scheduling incentives.
Interior Projects for Winter
When exterior painting season ends, we shift focus to interior projects. If you're considering a whole-home interior refresh, winter is the perfect time - we have more scheduling availability and can complete interior work regardless of outdoor conditions.
